At Dementia NI we recognise the positive impact volunteers make to our organisation and value their ongoing support and commitment.

We understand that volunteers not only give their time but also their knowledge, skills and expertise - providing invaluable connections in communities across Northern Ireland.

Some volunteers may have first hand experience of dementia in their family and want to make a difference in their communities. For others it may be a cause they feel passionate about and want to get involved in.

That's why we are committed to offering roles that reflect the skills, interests, and availability of volunteers through meaningful and rewarding engagement.

If you're interested, we have a role for you...

We're recruiting a new team of Group Support Volunteers to support the relaunch of our face-to-face groups. Our members have missed meeting up since the start of the pandemic and are looking forward to seeing each other again. To do this we need a team of friendly volunteers. Are you a people person? Do you have some free time on weekday mornings? Our Group Support Volunteers help with tasks such as making tea, guiding members around the venue and being a welcoming face.

We're currently seeking volunteers for this role in Enniskillen, Omagh, Derry/Londonderry, Newry, Bangor, Carrickfergus, Belfast and Saintfield.

We're also recruiting a team of Volunteer Drivers to support the relaunch of our groups. We need volunteer drivers to transport members to/from our venues. Do you have free time in the day during the week? If you enjoy driving, have a clean licence, access to your own car and are a friendly person, this role may be for you. Mileage expenses are paid at 45p per mile. Our Volunteer Drivers are valued team members who support people with dementia to access groups they'd otherwise miss out on.

We're currently seeking volunteers for this role in Enniskillen, Omagh, Derry/Londonderry, Newry, Bangor, Carrickfergus, Belfast and Saintfield.

We welcome interest from a diverse range of people. To find out more, please call 028 96 931 555, email hazel@dementiani.org or submit the form below to request a Volunteer Application Pack.
